Terms & Conditions of Business – Exeter Analytical Limited
It is an express term that all those dealing with Exeter Analytical UK Ltd do so on full agreement with our Conditions of Sale as detailed below. Orders are only accepted on this understanding. Exeter Analytical Uk Ltd is hereafter referred to as “the Company”.
All prices are liable to alteration without notice. VAT is applicable at the current applicable rate. Price lists are issued at 12 monthly intervals i.e. January to December for any given year. Any quoted prices are guaranteed for 90 days.
is charged at cost plus a small packaging charge of between £2.50 to a maximum of £7.50 unless specifically quoted at another price.
Whenever possible delivery of goods will be made in one consignment but in the event of this not being possible, items not sent will be kept on order and sent at a later date unless you advise us to the contrary.
4. BACK ORDERS
Back orders are normally sent out up to 3 weeks after the date of the original order without notice. Carriage is not chargeable on back orders.
All payments should be sent directly to “the Company” within the specified payment terms. Please make any cheques payable to ‘Exeter Analytical UK Ltd’ For payment by BACS please quote your account no. and invoice nos. as reference. Our payment terms for goods supplied are 30 days from date of invoice.

7. NEW ACCOUNTS
We reserve the right for advance payment from new customers if credit worthiness is unknown.
Cheques will have to be cleared or funds received by Exeter Analytical UK Ltd before goods are released.
9. NON-DELIVERY AND GOODS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
Non-delivery of goods must be notified within 10 DAYS OF THE INVOICE DATE. In the event of goods damaged in transit however, notification must be made WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE DATE OF DELIVERY Claims for shortages or damaged goods cannot be accepted after three working days after the date of delivery.
We reserve the right to change the specification or source of any product offered in our catalogue or price lists without notice as we see fit or to supply equivalent or similar products if the original item is not available for any reason. Our Catalogue does not represent an offer for sale and any specifications or statements are as a guide only and are subject to change or substitution as is necessary.
We will accept returns on the provision that they are returned in original condition within a period of 30 days from date of purchase.
All agreements & contracts and dealings of “the Company” are governed by and subject to the English Law.
13. RETENTION OF TITLE
The intending purchaser acknowledges that before entering into an agreement for the purchase of any goods from us such intending purchaser has expressly represented and warranted that he or it is not insolvent, and has not committed any act of bankruptcy or, being a company with limited or unlimited liability, knows of no circumstances which would entitle any debenture holder or secured creditor to appoint to receiver to petition for winding-up of such Company, or exercise any other rights over or against such company’s assets. Goods which are the subject of any agreement by us to sell shall be at the risk of the intending purchaser as soon as delivered by us to the intending purchaser’s premises or otherwise to his or its order. Such goods shall remain our sole and absolute property as legal and equitable owner until such a time as the intending purchaser shall have paid to us the agreed price together with the full price of any other goods which are the subject of any other contract with us.
14. COMPLIANCE WITH THE UK WEEE REGULATIONS
Exeter Analytical UK Ltd is classified as a producer with respect to EEE for users other than private households’ under The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013
Regulation 12 (1) places an obligation on Exeter Analytical to finance the costs of treatment, recovery, and environmentally sound disposal of waste electronic equipment (WEEE) from our customers where that WEEE
1) Is composed of equipment sold to customers before 13th August 2005 and is being replaced by products from Exeter Analytical of the same type or that performs the same function.
2) Is composed of Exeter Analytical UK Ltd equipment purchased by our customers after 13th August 2005
However, Regulation 12(2) allows these responsibilities to be passed on to end users through contractual terms and this option has been taken by Exeter Analytical Uk Ltd (please refer to clause in our standard terms and conditions.)
