Thermal Analysis

Thermal analysis can be used to determine how the physical and chemical properties of a substance change as a function of temperature or time during a controlled temperature program. The program may involve heating or cooling (dynamic), or holding the temperature constant (isothermal), or any combination of these.

Techniques available:
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA)
Sulphated Ash (ROI)

Sample Requirements: TGA 25mg – DSC 25mg – ROI 0.5g.
Other Requirements: Experimental conditions – COSHH data.
